How to Use NABL Logo?

If your lab is NABL accredited, using the NABL symbol the right way is very important. Most labs still confuse between the NABL logo and the NABL symbol, and using it incorrectly can lead to serious consequences — even suspension of accreditation.

Let’s simplify the rules based on NABL 133 Guidelines so you don’t make costly mistakes.

✅ First, Understand the Difference

• NABL Logo – This is the general logo of NABL and is meant for NABL’s internal use only. No lab is allowed to use this logo in any document or promotional material.
• NABL Symbol – This is a unique graphic mark provided to your lab that includes your certificate number (like MC-1234). It is the only symbol you are allowed to use — but even that has strict conditions.

⚠️ Where & How You Can Use the NABL Symbol

1. ✅ Only on Reports Related to Scope of Accreditation
   You can use the NABL symbol only on test reports for parameters that are included in your NABL scope.
2. 🚫 Not on Non-Accredited Parameters
   You cannot mix accredited and non-accredited test parameters in the same report with the symbol. If you do, your lab may face suspension.
3. 🚫 Not on Website Headers, Brochures, or Products
   You cannot use the NABL logo or even symbol on:
• Lab banners
• Websites
• Social media bios
• Letterheads (unless it relates to accredited services)
4. 🚫 No Disclaimer Allowed
   Labs often try to write a disclaimer like “NABL Accredited for selected parameters” to bypass rules. This is not permitted.
5. ✅ Mandatory Use on Accredited Reports
   For reports that are within scope, you must use the NABL symbol with the valid certificate number (e.g. MC-XXXX).
